THE DAWN

IT ALL STARTED IN 1996...

The Post graduate program emerged in 1996 with 7 students per year,

Since inception the dept is relentlessly striving down the year to serve the society by creating awareness and providing quality treatment

This department is the fountainhead of eminent orthodontists who are heading the department in various other institution

CLINICAL INSIGHT

The post graduates are conversant with boundless clinical exposure

Our biggest strength is more number of patients inflow, we have a OP census of 2000 patients per year 

Each pg student has to start 100 CASES and complete their treatment within their course time there by empowering them with confidence

They up-skill themselves with the state of the art appliance varying from lingual technique, self ligating brackets, aligners and mini implants.

They are also exposed to treating cleft patients in our newly opened cleft and craniofacial institute

They are also trained in treating cases with interdisciplinary approach with the departments of oral surgery, pedodontics and periodontics

The special cases will be presented in SHOWCASE

ACADEMICS & RESEARCH

Each PG student has to do 5 Short term research projects per year and will be presented in STAR SUMMIT every year

At the end of first year the postgraduates are assessed in additional subjects like Research Methodology and Bio-statistics

They are also encouraged to attend conference & convention and present their paper, poster and table clinic work every year

They also publish a systematic review at the end of first year on their selected thesis topic 

INFRASTRUCTURE 

GO GREEN GO DIGITAL - All the patients records are maintained through RMS (record management system)

The department uses FACAD software for the cephalometric tracing, prediction and super imposition 

Department also have highly equipped lab for postgraduates and a seminar hall with smart board system 

The department is planning on the next venture of opening an Exclusive Lingual clinic

STUDENT EXCHANGE PROGRAM:

We have signed MoU for student exchange program with University of California , Los Angeles (UCLA) and Kyungpook National university, South Korea for our post graduate students.
